Competition Background
Hong Kong Resort Company Limited (“HKR”) aims to create a unique resort-style residential community with environmentally-friendly feature in Discovery Bay. We also put great emphasis on nurturing creativity and young talent.
We are inviting designs for a Multi-Recreation Centre (“MRC”) in Discovery Bay with the following objectives:

To offer more opportunities for Hong Kong architecture students to express their talents and innovative ideas

To promote architectural design integrating educational and recreational activities and sustainable elements that lead to unique iconic designs arousing the public’s interest in architecture

To promote environmentally friendly buildings that are easy to use and operate, with high buildability and cost-effectiveness, and use smart technologies
