RESPONSE TO ENQUIRES
Q1
Can we plan for areas slightly outside the boundary? For example, the reservoir shore.
RESPONSE
Land use of the reservoir shore may be restricted by the government.
Q2
Is the 9-meter building height limit measured from the ground level/ sloped areas/ cantilever structure where the individual buildings stand, or, from the level 0 of the entire site?
RESPONSE
According to the definition under JPN-5, the 9-meter building height shall be measured from the highest level of the main roof to the mean of site formation level.
Q3
Shall other facilities be added other than the ones listed in the brief?
RESPONSE
We are open to facilities other than those suggested in the design schedule.
Q4
Shall we specify the type of adventure activities or plantation inside the facility?
RESPONSE
All adventure activities are to be specified in the design for reference. References to electrical and mechanical (E&M) spaces could be provided but not necessarily in great details, and should not affect your overall design approach.
Q5
Shall we plan any buildings or rooms for building services?
RESPONSE
References to the E&M spaces could be provided but not necessarily in great details, and should not affect your overall design approach.
Q6
Are carparks and transportations required in the design?
RESPONSE
As normal private cars are not allowed to enter Discovery Bay, the design of a private carpark is not necessary. However, parking spaces should be planned for coaches/ vans/ golf carts.
Q7
Would the Adventure Center become a paid venue?
RESPONSE
The Adventure Centre would be financially substantiable.
Q8
Would the site become a free-of-charge venue for the public?
RESPONSE
The entire site would be financially substantiable.
Q9
Is land excavation recommended?
RESPONSE
Excessive land excavation is not recommended.
Q10
Is artificial slopes allowed in the design?
RESPONSE
Site formation is allowed but excessive excavation is not recommended.
Q11
Would the hiking trails be preserved?
RESPONSE
Preservation of the hiking trails is subject to your design.
Q12
What is the land use of the vacant space in the center of the site (in between the site and IL PICCO)?
RESPONSE
The vacant space in the center of the site shall be reserved for future residential development.
Q13
Would there be separate entrances for vehicles and pedestrians?
RESPONSE
Vehicles would enter from the residential houses.
Q14
Would public transportation frequency increase after the opening of the multi-recreation centre?
RESPONSE
There will be bus services to the site, and the frequency is subject to demand.
Q15
What does the blue dotted area (page 17 in the brief) refer to?
RESPONSE
There is no such dotted line in the brief.
Q16
Are renderings allowed on our board panels?
RESPONSE
Renderings are allowed. For details of the submission requirement, please refer to section 4.3 Submission Requirements in the brief.
